Product summary

Vanguard Commencement Portfolio is utilized at the time of the beneficiary’s actual enrollment when the portfolio reaches its target year. As such, this portfolio seeks to minimize risk. Vanguard Commencement Portfolio will remain at a static asset allocation for the duration because it’s already at its most conservative phase when the beneficiary begins attending the school. Investors in the portfolio should be able to tolerate the risks that come from the volatility of the stock and bond markets. You may wish to consider this fund if the beneficiary is planning to enroll in school immediately.

Fund management

The portfolio does not employ an investment advisor, but it benefits from the investment advisory services of the underlying Vanguard mutual fund(s) in which it invests.
